In anticipation of inclement weather this week January 16, 2024 through January 20, 2024 on a 24 hours basis, including single-digit temperatures, the Union City Police Department advises residents to avoid prolonged outdoor exposure and to call the police department if they observe the elderly, homeless, or any residents exposed to the frigid weather.

Warming Centers

Residents experienceing the need are encouraged to seek shelter and/or additional resources at the following location:

• William Musto Cultural Center 420 15th Street - 24 hour basis

Winter weather can expose people to frostbite, hypothermia, and cold stress, all of which can be fatal.  Please contact the Union City Police Department at 201-865-1111 if anyone you know or observe is seeking shelter from the cold.
